Electric Teams Up with Charities

Long before Electric Visuals became a subsidy of VOLCOM, the sunglasses manufacturing company collaborated with various organizations and charities, showing that they’re more than just a brand name product – they’re all about demonstrating that change is possible.

Back in 2007, Electric Visual announced its partnership with project BLUE, the national initiative established to raise more than $1 million in support of ocean and beach protection, reports Suferspath.com.  Electric was exclusively contributing eyewear to provide for the cause, offering two of its most popular frame styles updated and customized specifically for project BLUE.

Also avid, supporters of Australia’s burgeoning literary arts scene amongst the surfing and skating crowd, Electric announced their The Four Eyes on the Prize competition that offered two budding poets a year’s supply of Electric sunglasses (12pairs) each early last year.  The contest asks for contestants to write a poem, or song and the most apt portrayal of the favored Electric team rider will win.
