Paul Frank Glasses: On the Borderline of Geek and Chic

Paul Frank glasses, best known in certain circles as borderline nerdy, have been gaining mainstream notoriety over the last couple of years ever since the return of the Hipster scene.

Normally associated with ingenuity in his designs, Paul Frank has been collecting vintage sunglasses since he was 14 years old. Flash forward and his childhood hobby has flourished into a brand name fashion house success story, where Paul Frank still hand draws many of the sunglasses designs himself.

So in the grand-scheme of things, if founder, Paul Frank is still doing the nitty gritty work of designing his own products himself, then it goes to show that Paul Frank sunglasses still upholds many of the same principles of the classical and vintage qualities of eyewear that Paul Frank, himself, cherished and collected as a teenager.

Every pair of Paul Frank sunglasses is made by hand, a true-blue method for creating solid, higher-quality, and longer lasting glasses. According to Anton Kal in his article in Ezinearticles.com, “a combination of Zyl material and wire core insertions inside the temples makes adjusting these sunglasses to fit customer’s personal, simple and approachable. The metal inserts and plastic frames also make these sunglasses lightweight.”

Other features of Paul Frank sunglasses include CR-39 polymers with a scratch resistant coating, 100% UV/UVB protection from the sun’s rays, and mechanical metal snaps allowing people to apply interchangeable magnetized logos to the temples of the sunglasses.

Perfect Glasses provides all the best in Paul Frank sunglasses. Be sure you get yours today!

This season, the looks gets an update with large, rounded frames, with various trendy designers playing with quirky shades, including ovals, heart-shaped sunnies, and oversized aviators. Cat-eye shaped sunglasses are making waves as well, especially with the ladies.

Gradient lens, lenses that shift gradually from one color to another, i.e. usually a color like red shifting to black, are going to be a popular new addition to runways for Spring 2012.

Contrast sunglasses are also predicted to gain appeal among the youngsters. White thick frames with red lenses, or black frames with stark contrast to the lenses. A fun and really creative way to express yourself, these glasses will be a fixture amongst teens, college kids, and young adults in their 20’s.

Last but not least, Laine’s forecast lists sporty sunglasses as one of the must-have’s among men and women alike. Among the coveted are Electric’s boldly colored frames and gradient lens sunglasses. Electric Teams Up with Charities

Long before Electric Visuals became a subsidy of VOLCOM, the sunglasses manufacturing company collaborated with various organizations and charities, showing that they’re more than just a brand name product – they’re all about demonstrating that change is possible.

Back in 2007, Electric Visual announced its partnership with project BLUE, the national initiative established to raise more than $1 million in support of ocean and beach protection, reports Suferspath.com.  Electric was exclusively contributing eyewear to provide for the cause, offering two of its most popular frame styles updated and customized specifically for project BLUE.

Also avid, supporters of Australia’s burgeoning literary arts scene amongst the surfing and skating crowd, Electric announced their The Four Eyes on the Prize competition that offered two budding poets a year’s supply of Electric sunglasses (12pairs) each early last year.  The contest asks for contestants to write a poem, or song and the most apt portrayal of the favored Electric team rider will win.

But aside from their roles as patrons within the Australian art scene, Electric also played a huge part in launching Movember, a grassroots project whose mission statement seeks to change the face of Men’s health, at the Bondi Bar in San Diego, CA, back in 2007.  Since then, and due to Electric Visual’s support at that small event, Movember has become a worldwide event, raising over 170 million just in 2010 alone.  Electric continued its support in 2011 by campaigning for and raising awareness and money for Movember through its creation of Movember geared products, (goggles, sunglasses and accessories.)

Electric Visual’s vision encompasses more than just the manufacturing-side of creating a great line of eyewear for its users, but it is also very vocal about managing and protecting the environment, helping out the arts, and is full supporters of the various causes that altogether promise to create a better world and healthier lifestyles for its people.  Be sure you support, Electric Visuals and the causes they support by donning a pair.  We, at Perfectglassesusa.com, are huge supporters and fans of Electric sunglasses and our online inventory is always stocked with Electric eyewear.  Visit us here today.
