What is the difference between single vision and multifocal lenses?

A third type of multifocal lens is the progressive kind that gradually changes power from the top of the lens to the bottom and it can provide numerous corrections for all kids of distances.

What does PD stand for?

The standard PD number of adults is between 54 and 70, and the standard PD number for children is between 41 and 55.Some PD numbers can be two numbers such as 65/60 and in those cases the first number is for distance vision and the second is for near vision or reading. Occasionally, PD numbers are wr ten as ?32/34? which indicates the individual measurement from the nose to either eye as in nose to the right pupil is 32mm and so the PD number would be the summation of the two calculations. In this case, the PD number is 32 + 34, so it is 66.
