We sell only the best:

We decided to sell only 2 lens types: Polycarbonate + A/R Coating & High Index 1.67 + A/R Coating

The reason we sell only these two single vision lens is that these are the lens types that we use ourselves. It's perfect for day to day life, work on the computer and for durablity.

Explanation:

1. Polycarbonate + A/R Coating (fits most)
Polycarbonate: Excellent impact-resistance; very good optical clarity; affordable; lightweight and low bulk.
A/R Coating: A/R stands for Anti Refliective Coating - perfect for it's ability to eliminate reflections of light. Great for day to day work on computer.

2. High Index 1.67 + A/R Coating (fits strong prescriptions)
High Index 1.67: Thinner, lighter high-index lenses are especially recommended if you have a strong eyeglass prescription for nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism.
A/R Coating: A/R stands for Anti Refliective Coating - perfect for it's ability to eliminate reflections of light. Great for day to day work on computer.

* Sunglasses - Uses Polarized instead of A/R Coating
Information about your prescription:

O.D.: Right Eye
O.S.: Left Eye
SPH/Rx: Lens power
CYL: Amount of astigmatism
Axis: Direction of astigmatism. If no CYL, then no need for axis
PD: Distance between your eyes
What is a P.D. or Pupillary Distance?

1. Your P.D. measures the distance between your eyes and is part of your eye exam
2. Your prescription must include a P.D. Other specifics on material and lens type are sometimes helpful
3. Each Eye Doctor in the US is required by law to provide this information to you with your prescription. You will need this in order to complete an order.

* If you have only one number it is the distance P.D. At times you may see two numbers (eg 62/58 mm) . The second number is the near P.D. but is not required based on standard near eye positioning.
